Robert Bruce Douglas (RBD)

At home on both sides of the border.

Robert began his newspaper career in 1970 as a staff writer for his hometown Toronto Star and went on to serve as a columnist and business editor in Florida for both the Palm Beach Post and Fort Lauderdale Sun Sentinel.

He has also been a speechwriter and communications advisor for unions, politicians, and bureaucrats.

His writing career was interrupted in 1999 by a stroke that robbed him of his ability to read, write and talk. Grateful in recovery, he now lives in Wilmette, IL, where he is working on a novel.
